Emergency Care When It Matters Most.
Western Berks EMS provides emergency ambulance response, advanced clinical care, wheelchair transportation, non-emergency ambulance transport, and event medical coverage for the communities we serve.
Our Services
Basic Life Support Services
Basic Life Support services include minor, non-life-threatening emergencies that do not require advanced management for the current injury or illness.
Examples may include fractures, controlled bleeding, pain from falls, or flu-like symptoms in patients with stable vital signs. An Emergency Medical Technician monitors the patient, provides care, and transports to the hospital when necessary.
Advanced Life Support Services
Advanced Life Support services are provided for illnesses and injuries such as chest pain, respiratory distress, strokes, and severe injuries.
Paramedics can start IVs, monitor heart rhythms, and administer medications to treat life-threatening conditions before the patient reaches the hospital.
Wheelchair Van Services
Western Berks EMS wheelchair van services support hospital discharges, doctor’s appointments, family gatherings, and other transportation needs.
All WBEMS drivers are CPR certified. Western Berks EMS owns and operates six wheelchair vans, including one with bariatric capabilities.
For pricing and scheduling: call 610-678-1545, Option 1.
Non-Emergency Ambulance Transport
WBEMS provides non-emergency ambulance transport for patients who cannot safely ride in a personal vehicle or wheelchair and require stretcher transport with medical supervision.
We partner with hospitals and nursing homes to assist with discharges to private residences, nursing facilities, and other healthcare destinations.
To schedule: call 610-678-1545, Option 1.
